'A Good Chess Player must share her gift', Tangonan
Imparting her skills to the youngster, Kathleen Mariel Tangonan openly shares her wit in the game of chess to the lower grade level aspirants.She is already in grade six and wanting to make change before leaving her alma mater.
Persistence and perseverance, that is the key for every athlete to develop their potentials.
“Its not about winning, but the experiences you gain in every matches we played.” Tangonan exclaimed.
She wanted to improve more of her skills in stepping the second ladder of her. schooling. “PRAY, PRACTICE ,AND PLAY.”

WEST MISLEADS EAST
West Warriors remains in composure after misleading the East Panthers in a four setter exhibition game held at Caut Elementary School, Sept 12.
Jesli A. Sagum leads the West by tallying 12 attacks, 4 Digs and 8 aces.
“ Medyo nadalian kami sa paglalaro dahil mayroong koordinasyon ang grupo at nagbibigayan kami sa mga tira.” Sagum said.
Almost a unanimous performance was given by the team except that spoiler set in set 2 where the Panthers Escaping from a rubber match, 26-28, in favour of the East.
But the West Warriors regains its confidence and take the last consecutive 2 sets not letting the panthers to push a deciding set 5.
“Buti nalang pumapasok yung mga serve ko at di nila naibabalik kaya siguro napalayo na ang score namin sa kanila” Sagum added.
The panthers tried to chase the score on the latter sets but too many unforced errors on their part.
Despite the lack of sports equipment the game still contain the excitement from beginning to end.
The scores of the match are as follows: Set 1 25-13,Set 2 26-28,Set 3 25– 17, Set 4 25-12.
ROCKETS CRUSHES JETFIGHTERS, 42,23
“ Nanalo kami dahil masmalaki kami sa kanila at mas mabilis at saka marunong kaming pumasa.” said Alfie David, ace player of the red rockets.
David contributed 12 points , 5 rebounds and 4 assist which leading the team score.
Added to that are the good hustles and screens he gave to the team.
Jesli Sagum of the Red Rockets also make crucial baskets in the third quarter which initiates the run of the team and balloon the lead almost half.
Jesli gave the team with 10 points with 4 out of 4 field goals, 2 of them are coming from the rainbow country.
While Leo Sanches of the Blue Jetfighters scores 11 points including his two triples with hustle plays but fall short on the support of the team.
“ Nagkulang kami sa komunikasyon, naglaro ng sarilinan at walang koordinasyon.” said Leo,
The lead actually ballooned in the Second quarter when the rockets initiated multiple runs that contain in the whole game.
The score of the game is 10-4, 22-12, 36-18, 42-23.
Despite loss, the game still in the aura of sportsmanship

TANGONAN: Insights of Sucess

Believe to God ,Remain humble and constant practice, ito ang mga sekreto ko sa aking pagkapanalo.” Tangonan said.
Claiming his back to back title in District Athletic meet last September 15, Tangonan is now a graduating student.
She is very thankful to his coach Sir Jeric Nichole Aviguetero who gave his time to teach the techniques of a good chess players.
“Nagpapasalamat ako kay sir dahil nakita ko talaga na nagtiyaga sila sa amin araw-araw.” Tangonan added.
Her skills in chess climb on high leap making her best record in district with 8 wins 1 draw in 9 matches.
Partly sad because he will graduate this school year but the good thing is the memory of being a good athlete remains wherever she goes.
Other than winning, she is also excels in academics that includes her in the achievers list.
