CAES young journalists shine in the Municipal PressConference wherein they gain 8 awards in 14 categories and declared as 3rd runner-up among 21 schools in the Municipality of La Paz, Tarlac held at Comillas High School on August 5.

       The winners of the Pressconference are as follows: Keith Ashley M. Sicat (2nd Place News Writing English), Angelica M. Maliwat ( 3rd Place Science Journalism Filipino), Shinji Ken T. Matsuoka ( 4th Place Editorial Writing English), Cristine Lei Raymundo (4th place News writing Filipino) John Paul Bolivar  (5th Place Editorial Writing Filipino), Lyle Gian M. Sicat (5th Place Sports  Writing Filipino) Denyse Balatbat (4th Place Photojournalism English) , Hazel G. Aguas (9th place Copyreading Headlining English) and Princess Joy P. Manalo (9th Place Copyreading Headlining Filipino).

          The school is seated at 4th place in over-all ranking after San Isidro Elementary School, Comillas Elementary School, and Bantog Elementary School. Historically, this is the highest place of CAES since they started journalism.

                  “To Aim High” That is the motto of the young journalists as they participated in the annual pressconference. Through the help of their School Paper Advisers namely Sir Jeric Nichole R. Aviguetero,  Ma’am Josefina B. Pastorin and Minda F. Manuel, they brought back the good reputation of the school.

  From Zero record last year, CAES prove that young journalist can be develop through hardwork and perseverance. It’s a big leap to build up morale  of barrio school in such a competitive event.
